MAKING AN ENQUIRY

Making an enquiry about an item could not be easier. Just browse the website and for any items you are interested in, simply click on the red ‘Make An Enquiry For This Product’ button near the top of the page.

In the Product Enquiry window that opens, please enter your name, email address, and your enquiry, then click ‘Send’. We will respond as soon as possible.

Alternatively, you may email us on orders@akronainstruments.com . Simply use the reference identifier at the end of each item title, e.g., #8804, to identify which item(s) you are interested in.

We are happy to confirm pricing, shipping costs, and any other enquiries about items of interest. You will need to advise your Country and Post Code for shipping cost enquiries.

PLACING AN ORDER

To place an order following confirmation of total price including shipping, please email your order to orders@akronainstruments.com and confirm the following:

  • which items you wish to order,
  • address for delivery, and
  • your preferred payment method.

You will be sent an invoice for payment with all the details required. Your order will be held for up to 7 days pending receipt of payment, after which we reserve the right to cancel the sale.

Akrona Instruments is not registered for G.S.T. (V.A.T.) and therefore none is included or charged. All items are priced and transacted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

International customers please note that import duties, taxes, and like charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges. Such charges where levied are the buyer's responsibility, so please check with your country's customs office to determine what additional costs if any may be due, before making your purchase.

PAYMENT METHODS

Available payment methods include:

  • Bank transfer – you will be advised details on your invoice
  • PayPal to orders@akronainstruments.com (not available for items which have freight arranged by the Buyer, or are collected by the Buyer or Buyers agent)

SHIPPING

Shipping will be made as soon as possible once payment has been cleared. This may be up to 5 working days from receipt of funds.

DELIVERY PRICING

In all cases the cost of shipping, insurance, and any other related charges are NOT included in the price, and must be added after enquiry from us, unless specifically stated otherwise on the listing for the item being purchased.

Please note that shipment of multiple items in one delivery is always more economical than in multiple deliveries, so please advise us if separate orders are to be grouped for delivery.

Upon enquiry, we will select the most appropriate delivery service to your address for the item(s) being purchased and will advise you the cost. If you prefer a specific shipping method, please ask and we will advise if it is available to us and the applicable cost. We reserve the right not to use certain shipping services.

We are not responsible for any delays in delivery, or for non-delivery, including where a freight service has left a package at your specified delivery address and it has gone missing. While we always specify ‘Signature required’ for deliveries, except for very low value items, we are not responsible if the delivery company fails to obtain a clear signature.

Where possible we will advise delivery tracking numbers and it is your responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive a delivery at the likely times of delivery.

Please note that under no circumstances is the cost of shipping refundable.

Items purchased may also be subject to relevant duties, processing charges, and taxes in the destination country and this is your sole responsibility. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country. Please contact your local customs office for further information prior to purchase.

INSURANCE

We will select an insurance option that covers the purchase price of your goods. Under no circumstances will a higher value be used for insurance, or any circumstantial costs for late or non-delivery be covered by the insurance we provide. If you require this then you will need to arrange your own insurance.

We take great care to package items to avoid damage and have never had a claim for shipping damage. However, we are not responsible in the unlikely event that damage occurs once a delivery has left our premises. Any damage may be covered under the transit insurance we arrange, and we will give you the necessary information to make a claim. It will generally be up to the discretion of the insurer as to whether damaged is repaired, or compensation paid for loss in value.

In the unlikely event of receiving a damaged item, please retain all packaging until any claim has been concluded, and where possible, take photos of the parcel to illustrate any obvious external damage.
